What does Circus Into Schools need to run a circus workshop / performance projects at your school?

A clear hall, a member of staff / TA and enthusiastic children to work with.
We have huge amounts of equipment and can easily work with class size groups.

If your event involves larger group sizes we can bring in more tutors or it can be appropriate to train some older children as helpers.

What age groups do I offer circus workshops / performance projects to?

From reception to year 13, although activities and projects available may differ from eg, circus multi-skill to unicycling. We are very flexible so contact Circus Into Schools to discuss what you have in mind.

How far will wetravel?

We generally work anywhere in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset for one days work and may consider areas slightly further away.

We will travel further for 2-5 days work depending on where it is and what you want.

We will travel anywhere in the world if you pay my airfare and offer me an exciting opportunitiy!

What skills can we teach?

Stiltwalking, juggling (balls and clubs), rolla bolla, diablo, pois, clubswinging, prachute games, circus muti-skills, co-operative games, balloon modelling, facepainting, performance skills, plate spinning, basic acrobalance, basic unicycling, club passing, stiltwalkbout. Obviously different skills are appropriate to ages / ability / interests of children. We can also supply trapeze and clowning workshops.

Will we work with special needs?

Yes, we are happy to work with any children and have worked with a lot of special needs children before within or excluded from mainstream education. Often ongoing projects can be good for co-ordination / confidence / self esteem.

Will we do workshops free for charity?

Yes, we do run some ongoing projects for our local communities but we are not in the position to take on any more.
